Arknights Endfield 6-star selector: The best character to pick

I've been playing Arknights Endfield ever since its Beta, and I have to say, even back then, I had my fair share of struggles getting a solid 6*. What surprised me the most was that with the last update, we got a free Designation Selection Permit. To those of you who are wondering what that is, hold your horses - I'll get right to it in a bit.

How to get the Arknights Endfield 6-star selector?

Long story short, on February 6th, 2026, all Arknights Endfield players received an in-game mail titled "Fiona's HR Support" - here is where things get interesting. All you have to do is open the menu and then the Mail. The reward will be at the very top, starred up (it will show a little yellow star in the corner).

How to use the 6-star selector?

You can use this permit by opening your Valuables Stash. You can do that either by opening the Menu and selecting Valuables Stash on the right side (next to Database), or by pressing N on your keyboard. 

Once you're in the Valuables Stash, go to the last tab, titled "Valuables". You will find it there, along with other valuable items your team is holding. 

To use it, you just tap on it and select Use. Then, you will have to select one of the operators and hit Confirm. This is a one-time only deal, so make sure you pick wisely! 

Who to choose from the Arknights Endfield 6-star selector?

As you know by now, there are a total of 5 possible operators you can pick from. They each have unique perks, so make sure you pick the one you need the most for your team - otherwise, you can pick one that you really want to build a team around and haven't yet had a chance to acquire.

Selector characters

• When to pick Lifeng: Lifeng is another Physical pick - he is good for Vulnerability apply and Link, as well as other debuffs/buffs (Physical). He is okay if that's what you need. 
• When to pick Pogranichnik: I like Pogranichnik quite a lot as a DPS, since he has good synergy with Endmin. He is a good pick if you can unlock his potential 3+.
• When to pick Ember: She is a great addition to the Physical team, so if you are going for one, you want her. She can make a good team with Endmin, Lifeng, or Da Pan.
• When to pick Ardelia: You already get Ardelia for free from the login rewards, but if you want to unlock her potential, she can be a decent pick.
• When to pick Last Rite: If you want a Cryo team, she is a must-have. She can be among the best DPS characters, especially when paired with Yvonne. I played her quite a lot in beta, and despite her attacks being a little bit "slow", she still deals amazing damage.

I personally went for Last Rite, since she's among the best damage dealers. The Cryo team is a team I believe can be extremely strong for any content, as long as you can get Yvonne/Last Rite/Xaihi +1 more.  

So, who's the best pick?

If I were to pick an order in which I recommend the characters (of course, assuming you already have Ardelia from the login rewards), it would be something like this:

1. Last Rite
2. Ember
3. Pogranichnik
4. Ardelia
5. Lifeng
