Every week, Pocket Gamer provides a weekly digest of the most important and popular stories from these digital pages.
1. We debuted our rad new mobile gaming news round-up show The Wrapp, with our pals at AppSpy. Want to find out about the Apple Watch, Tales from the Borderlands, and Five Nights at Freddy's 3 in less than three minutes? Press play.
2. Speaking of the Apple Watch, we finally got to hear
how much one of those things will cost and when you can buy it. But because we're gamers, we wanted to know what you can
play on the snazzy wrist watch.
Here's a complete(ish) list of wearable games.
3. We picked peace-seeking strategy epic
Sid Meier's Starships as our
top iOS game of the week, to reflect the
Gold Award review. Only have an iPhone? We recommend
Card Crawl. And rocking an Android?
Try Table Tennis Touch.
4. We're back from GDC, and we've still got a lot to talk about. Like a
hands-on with Mortal Kombat X, a round-up of
Noodlecake's new games, news about
more Oddworld coming to mobile, and some footage of
Aralon 2.
5. What do you get if you mix
Phoenix Wright with
The Room, and throw in a dash of
CSI?
The Trace, apparently. This is the next game from
Murder Files developer Relentless and it looks terrific.
Watch Peter play in his video preview.
6. RIP PlayStation Mobile. Sony's micro game shop for Android and Vita is getting killed off in its, erm, prime? Maybe not. But there are some good games on the store, as highlighted in this resurrected feature from
ex-PG man Mike.
7. We held another Big Indie Pitch event in San Francisco. This time, UK team Glitche.rs took home the top prize with
Kano, and
WarFriends was a worthy runner up. Plus, here's a bunch of other
must-see games from the pitchers.
8. Want Pokemon on your mobile? You're gonna be waiting for quite a while, then. In the mean time,
check out Moonrise.
9. Five Nights at Freddy's has quickly become one of the most popular and profitable (paid) franchises on mobile. And developer Scott Cawthon isn't going to stop while he's ahead. He's just released the third game in the series on
iOS and
Android -
