HOW TO UNLOCK GARDEN IN COOKIE CLICKER

To unlock Garden, you must upgrade Farms to level 1 using a Sugar Lump, the secondary currency in Cookie Clicker. It may sound straightforward, but it can be pretty challenging in practice. Soil in Cookie Clicker

Dirt The base soil in Cookie Clicker. Each tick takes five minutes without the changes to growth speed.
Fertilizer Each tick takes three minutes. Fertilizer has a 20% Growth Increase and a 25% Effectiveness Decrease. 
Clay  Slow ticks take 15 minutes. Increases effectiveness by 25%.
Pebbles Has the classic five-minute tick, decreased growth by 90%, and reduced effectiveness by 75%. Still, it provides a 35% chance to harvest seeds automatically before dying.
Wood Chips Allow your plantings to mutate 3x faster. Reduces growth rate by 90% and effectiveness by 75%.
