It's a huge week for Apple Arcade, with several games receiving updates alongside a new arrival on the subscription service. There's also news of an arcade shooter from Bandai Namco. Earlier in the week, we also covered updates for Tetris Beat, Mutazione, and Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, so make sure to check those out.
First up, Galaga Wars+ will head to Apple Arcade soon. It comes from Bandai Namco and promises a dose of nostalgia for players as they destroy wave after wave of aliens in a bid to save the entire galaxy. It uses simple touch screen controls that bring a modern spin to an arcade classic.
While we have to wait for Galaga Wars, Crayola Create and Play becomes available today. It is an app that encourages creativity and curiosity in children. It takes inspiration from STEAM and STEM education techniques and looks to educate through play. Developer Red Games Co says it will receive frequent updates with new features, activities and seasonal content, so there's always something new to enjoy.
The latest update to Solitaire Stories introduces a quality of life change. Players can now adjust the story difficulty level. Elsewhere, there are two new stories called Boardgames & Brimstone and Tommy Four Hooves.
10 new challenges and six sport-themed outfits have arrived in Slash Quest as part of Season 3. To discover what the challenges involve, you will need to find the Taskmaster in camp and have a chat with him.
Finally, Agent Intercept has received two new side missions. In one of them, players can drive around as Penny Black for the first time. They will need to sneak through a CLAW base before heading back to the Sceptre to cause chaos. In the second new side quest, players will need to thwart a threat that has been hiding in plain sight.
The above games are either available now over on Apple Arcade or will be soon. It is a subscription service that costs $4.99 per month. For more information on other games available in its extensive library, check out our dedicated hub page.
