Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls' Halloween update introduces new stages, skins and accessories

Following its release earlier this year, Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls has received a Haloween-themed update just in time for the spooky season. Since the game is part of the Apple Arcade subscription service, it will be available for free, so long as you're signed up, of course.

The update introduces new Halloween-themed stages to Order Mode, which sees players assembling a party of up to five characters before attempting to reach the top floor. Throughout each attempt, characters' HP and MP will carry over between floors, giving players limited resources and providing an extra challenge.

At the start of each floor, they will need to assess the situation, taking each character's reaming health and MP into consideration before deciding who to use. With each passing stage, the rewards earned will increase.

Players can also collect special Halloween-themed coins in Grimoire of Souls that can be exchanged for various rewards. They include different skins, weapons and armour. Additionally, there are Halloween skins and accessories available too. Finally, a login bonus campaign will run from today until November 15th. Simply by remembering to play the game each day, players will earn themselves a total of 14 rewards.

If you've not heard of Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, it is an action title that features the classic 2D side-scrolling gameplay the series is known for. It features 60 different stages for players to battle their way through with a choice of five playable characters from across the history of Castlevania.

Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is available now over on Apple Arcade. It is a subscription service that costs $4.99 per month. For more information on other games available in its extensive library, check out our dedicated hub page.
