Zenless Zone Zero release date and everything else we know so far

Zenless Zone Zero is an upcoming game by HoYoverse, the developers behind Genshin Impact. It's been more than a year now since its announcement back in May of 2022. We will talk about everything that we know so far about Zenless Zone Zero, which includes the story, the gameplay, the expected release date, and more.

Zenless Zone Zero Story

The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where "Hollows" (some sort of natural disaster) appear out of nowhere. These Hollows are essentially portals that allow monsters known as "Ethereal" to travel through.

Humanity's last surviving city is a metropolis known as New Eridu. There, people figured out a way to extract resources from the Hollows. This technology has been industrialized and monetized under the city's administration, but other powers are trying to get their hands on it.

Players assume the role of a professional tasked with guiding people in their exploration of Hollows. As they progress through the story, they recruit new members to help them out in the fight against the Ethereal.

What do we know so far?

What we've gathered from the "Tuning Tests" and the videos that have been released so far by the developers, is that Zenless Zone Zero is essentially a roguelike aRPG that blends action and RPG elements.

The environment and the overall aesthetics of it are what you would expect from a HoYoverse game. They won't let you down. You'll definitely get some Genshin vibes, but there's a lot more to it.

When it comes to the combat system, it features fast-paced and dynamic gameplay. Players will have access to a variety of weapons, abilities, and skills to engage in intense battles against various enemies.

If you are the type of player who enjoys exploration, Zenless Zone Zero won't disappoint you. You will have the chance to wander around New Eridu and uncover its secrets.

Last but not least, something that we were not expecting (and it was definitely a welcome addition) was the implementation of various mini-games.

Zenless Zone Zero Release Date

Up until this moment, the release date for Zenless Zone Zero has not been officially announced. With that said, based on the information that we've gathered, we can expect the game to hit the market sometime in 2024.
