Our regular roundup of stars and summons

Mongil: Star Dive, Wizardry Variants Daphne, Star Sailors - We've Gacha Covered

Love 'em or hate 'em, gacha RPGs are everywhere - so much so that they dominate our mailboxes on most days since they're just filled to the brim with all sorts of shiny new things (and I do love shiny new things). Whether it's a fancy SSR character joining the lineup or a cool new region to explore, we've got a nifty list of updates here where we go through what's caught our eye so far!

Mongil: Star Dive

Netmarble's latest gacha update is for Mongil: Star Dive, the studio's monster-taming RPG where you get to catch creatures in the wild and equip them onto your characters as accessories. It's incredibly interesting, as I played this one myself when it first launched, and now, there's going to be a new 5-star character joining the fight.

New Lightning Destroyer Mabel wields the book Epigram, and with her Ultimate Skill, Injustice, Exterminate, she can strike down your foes with powerful Lightning damage. Plus, she can maximise that damage by debuffing enemies with a Lightning Affliction. Best get pulling from the summons pool to add her to your squad, eh?

Wizardry Variants Daphne

They caught our attention with a little tease previously, but this time, it's officially out - the Final Fantasy XI collab, that is! Wizardry Variants Daphne's “Fantasy Castle of Deepest Dark” crossover offers a fresh narrative in theme with the Square Enix franchise along with an exclusive dungeon to take on.

And, of course, with the new challenges come new characters too, which is where Prishe, Iroha, and Zeid come in. You'll get your hands on Relic Weapons, gear, and all kinds of equipment as you progress through the limited-time missions - plus recruitment scrolls too (and we all love those, don't we?). It'll run until September 10th, so there's no excuse not to get involved.

Solo Leveling: Arise

I'm not surprised there's another Netmarble entry in our gacha roundup today, as Solo Leveling: Arise has just added the Monarch of Shadows’ Successor to the fray. It's basically Sung Jinwoo, but this time, he takes the form of the Monarch of Shadows as a Dark-element character. And what's even better is that you get to claim him for free by clearing event missions - and free stuff is always good.

He arrives alongside fire-element Supporter Jung Yerim, so if you've been feeling like your healing and shields aren't at their best lately, she might just be the latest addition you need to switch things up!

Star Sailors

Summer is still in full swing in Star Sailors, and given it just very recently launched, it's exciting to see its first post-release update with new Partners joining the fray! Com2uS' collectible RPG welcomes 3-star Nadia the Sand Artist and Remi the Rolling Pop, and because it's all about having fun in the sun, a new swimsuit costume for Nina is also debuting in this update.

As you might expect, this comes with plenty of limited-time themed events that celebrate the season, as well as a free recruit for Remi and some exclusive narratives to sink your teeth into. On top of this, you can look forward to the expanded Adventure Mode, a new Descent Raid boss, and more QOL enhancements to keep things sizzling!
