Tower of Fantasy reveals more about the upcoming Under the Grand Sea update
With just a few days to go until Tower of Fantasy’s latest update launches, Level Infinite and Hotta Studio have released more information about what players can expect. Titled Under the Grand Sea, version 2.4 of the popular mobile gacha game will be available beginning March 30th, with a new explorable area, simulacra, and loads of challenges.
Tower of Fantasy players have gotten new areas to explore in the past, but this one will be like no other. The new map being introduced in this update is almost completely underwater, which offers a completely different experience. A lot of adventures await players in this rich submerged world.
The map has three layers, each offering a unique experience. Players will wander through the Grand Sea Island, Innars City, and the Dragon Breath Volcano. Besides exploring, there is a lot of combat with bosses and enemies on offer as well.
Different areas of Under the Grand Sea will feature new and unique simulacra. One of them, Lan, comes from an unknown dimensional passage, supposedly Domain 9, whose job is to help Grayspace Entity Expansions. Lan’s headgear takes the shape of a flaming bird and her attacks are done using a peculiar umbrella.
When underwater, players will be tasked with various challenges like the Underwater Request Mission, which allows them to explore the world and earn rewards, or the New Crusade Ring of Oblivion, a team-based challenge that will test their combat capabilities.
Completing these quests also means facing off against powerful new bosses. The update will introduce Haboela, a Behemoth Abyssant that uses its massive body size and lava to inflict damage. Find it living inside a crater on the map.
