Giving your garden some TLC isn't just about having the best crops - it's also about knowing which ones are the best pets in Grow a Garden 2!

Best pets in Grow a Garden 2 - Our handy pet guide and which to buy

Pets can play a huge role in Grow a Garden 2, especially when said pets can prevent your garden from being robbed at night - or do the robbing themselves, depending on your perspective.

So, to help everyone decide which is the right pet for them, I created this Grow a Garden 2 pet guide. There are several pets, some of which are way rarer than others. The rarer a pet is, the better its skill. Of course, it also depends on your needs (and budget), so let me start by listing all the pets.

How to get pets in Grow a Garden 2

Getting pets (in a general sense) is super easy. All you have to do is walk up to them, talk to them, and that's it. Now, there are other things that make this little process a little difficult.

The best pets in Grow a Garden 2 cost Sheckles, and depending on which pet you want to get, you might not have enough. Some pets are also not even worth it, since they don't have any useful bonuses (talk about walk speed or jump speed). Regardless, you might find a use for them or simply like their design, so if you want to get them, all you have to do is walk up to them and pay the required price.

Can't see your pet yet? Let me explain.

Once you talk to a pet and acquire it, the pet will slowly start making its way to YOUR garden. It won't appear in your inventory until it arrives in your garden. Once it is here, you will have to open your Inventory and go to the Pets tab. Then, simply equip the pet.

After you do all that, on the left side of the screen, you will notice the pet icon (rabbit head). You can manage your pets from there, see their skills, and equip/unequip them.

What are Big pets & how to get them

I also have to mention that, if you're completely new, you might not be aware of the fact that Grow a Garden 2 also has a rare mutation for pets. When a pet spawns, it has a very low chance to be "Big".

So far, I have only seen the Big Owl and managed to acquire it, as you can see in the image below.

Big pets have slightly better skills than their normal versions, so getting a Big Raccoon (if it even exists) would be something out of this world. Oh, and in case you were wondering, Big pets don't cost any more than their normal versions.

What's the best pet in Grow a Garden 2?

I would strongly recommend getting a Robin ASAP. Save Sheckles for it, because it's a reasonable price for a beginner-friendly player. After the Robin, you can try to go for a Bee or any other Mythic+ pet. Honestly, I don't believe it is worth getting the Common - Rare pets.

If we were to pick a single pet as the "best" one, it would easily be the Raccoon, followed up by the Unicorn. Of course, if you are able to get the Ice Serpent, then it's a really good choice as well.

And to make sure you have all the resources you need, why not claim these Grow a Garden 2 codes too?
