With the Pokémon Go Tour: Johto just around the corner, excitement is certainly building up. All Pokémon that originally featured in the Johto region will begin showing up with their shiny version as well. Niantic has an action-packed event that is ready to go live in the next ten days and you can read all about it in this article.

Based on the chosen ticket, different Pokémon will be found in the wild, coupled with a tonne of bonuses for all players. Both versions will also get event-exclusive Special Research that gives everyone a chance at obtaining a Shiny Gyarados and Celebi. Now, you can’t catch Pokémon without Poké Balls, right? Niantic has that covered too with its newly launched GO Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally event!

While the primary goal of the rally is to ensure trainers have a sufficient number of Poké Balls to catch Pokémon, numerous ball-like Pokémon will frequent the wild too. The event is set to run between February 18th and 25th and will have players complete quests to earn Poké Balls and catch other Pokémon, including a debutant. Finishing tasks will also award Great Balls and Ultra Balls.

In the wild, players can expect to find Voltorb, Koffing, Marill, Wailmer, Solosis, Foongus, and more, frequently, but the one everyone will want to look out for is the debuting Hisuian Electrode! A couple of weeks ago, trainers began encountering Hisuian Voltorb, a Pokémon from the Hisui region of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Now, players can also encounter it in its evolved form – Hisuian Electrode. Additionally, trainers can evolve their Voltorb into Electrode after the event for 50 Voltorb Candy.

It would be criminal for a Poké Ball celebration to not feature Ball Guy! And so, players can pick up the Galar Pokémon League’s mysterious mascot from the item shop. Finally, buddy Pokémon will also bring Poké Balls as gifts.

Get ready to horde Poké Balls by downloading Pokémon Go for free on the App Store and Google Play.
