Niantic just kicked off its eleventh season – Hidden Gems today on Pokémon Go. It is set to run for another three months, bringing a flurry of new Pokémon and themed events to the AR game. Over the next week, we’re already to see the Searching for Gold Research Day and Water Festival: Beach Week. Right after that comes June’s Community Day.

Pokémon Go is hosting the June 2023 Community Day with Axew taking the limelight. The adorable Tusk Pokémon will appear much more frequently in the wild on June 10th, between 2:00 and 5:00 pm local time. It’s even being rumoured that finding a Shiny variant will be easier.

And catching enough of these little guys means trainers would have enough Candy to transform Axew into Fraxure, and finally into Haxorus. If players manage to do this during or up to five hours after the event ends, they will be rewarded with a Haxorus that knows the Charged Attack Breaking Swipe.

Of course, there will be a set of bonuses during the event to make the task simpler. Between 2:00 and 5:00 pm, trainers will earn 3x XP and 2x Candy for catching Pokémon and those above level 31 will also get a Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours and a provision will be made to allow for an extra Special Trade alongside a 50% Stardust discount.

In addition, a bonus Raid Battle will begin after the event, featuring Fraxure in four-star raids until 10:00 pm local time. If players manage to beat it, then Axew will appear in the vicinity for the next half hour. It’s a great way to get the Fraxure directly and then catch enough Axew for the final evolution.

Don’t forget to catch out the Community Day Special Research story either, it just costs a dollar for each ticket.
