Pokemon Go is kicking off Season 10: Rising Heroes with the Catch Master event
It’s the final day of Pokémon Go’s Season 9: Mythical Wishes and all events including the massive Go Tour: Hoenn has finally concluded. While we don’t have too many details on what the future has to offer, what we do know is that the AR game’s tenth season will be titled Rising Heroes. And the first event of the season is the Catch Mastery event.
Rising Heroes kicks off tomorrow, on March 1st so we should soon know what the rest of the season has to offer. Starting all the festivities is the Catch Mastery event, which will be available on March 5th, between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm local time. During the event, Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan will appear in the wild more frequently.
Trainers will have a couple of bonuses to take advantage of as well. Shiny versions of Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop will be easier to catch during the event. In addition to this, everyone will be awarded 2x XP for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, Excellent Throws, and Curveball Throws.
Throwing styles and accuracy will further come in handy as the Field Research tasks also focus on them. Completing them will grant encounters with Hitmontop, and maybe a Shiny one too. Hitmontop is definitely the star of the event because trainers can get up to 40 encounters with it by completing ten sets of Timed Researches, which guess what, also focus on PokéBall throwing.
If you're tired of throwing PokéBalls accurately and in style, then walking around with a Buddy Pokémon can prove beneficial too. All seven-kilometre eggs collected during this event will contain Tyrogue in either its Normal or Shiny form.
