This year, Niantic planned three in-person events for the Pokémon Go Fest which were to be held in Berlin, Seattle, and Sapporo. Yesterday, the final event concluded with a blast as trainers in Nakajima Park were able to participate in all the festivities. A final event that will mark the Go Fest’s end will be held on August 27th, but more on that later.

The weekend’s Sapporo event had certain global challenges that needed to be completed for the Ultra Unlocks to be made available. And of course, like as always, these were knocked out of the park and the bonuses will soon be available for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to everyone who worked to finish these challenges, the upcoming Bugs Out! and Community Day events will feature a bunch of Ultra Unlock bonuses.

Let’s start with the Bugs Out! event that will run between August 10th and 16th. The event is already offering 2x XP for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws but thanks to the Ultra Unlock, players will gain additional Candy for the same. Plus, trainers above level 31 have an increased chance of getting Candy XL for these throws too.

Moving to the Pokémon to look out for, Unown T and Pansage will make appearances in raid battles and the wilds frequently. A bunch of bug-themed Timed Researches will also be available, granting rewards like encounters, items, and Scizor Mega Energy to everyone.

Next, we have August’s Community Day which is set to feature Galarian Zigzagoon, the Tiny Racoon Pokémon. As part of the Ultra Unlock bonuses, players will receive 2x XP for catching Pokémon and 2x Candy for transferring them. The upper limit of Special Trades has also been upped to four for the day, and they will cost 75% less Stardust now instead of the previous 50% off.
