Pocket Gamer iPhone and iPad gaming podcast: Episode 206 - Closing out the year
|
iOS

It's the final episode of the year, and I'm back in the hosting chair. To round off a brilliant year of iOS gaming, Mark "Marky Mark" Brown joins me in the luxurious podcast studio for a thoroughly pleasant chat.

Even though everything's winding down for the holidays, there are still loads of awesome news stories to discuss. We briefly touch on the Best App Ever and the new iPhone edition of The Official Pocket Gamer Guide to Galaxy on Fire 2, then it's onto Real Racing 3 getting delayed.

We discuss the cheeky swipe at Curiosity that the maker of Magnetic Billiards: Blueprint has taken, and detail how you can help fight AIDS with charity freemium game (THRED).

There's also a "bunch" of new releases to chat about. Pudding Monsters has a great icon, Karateka's correct pronunciation is debated (make sure to get in touch with the answer, Mr Mechner), and RAD Soldiers looks... well... rad!

Oh, and what have I been playing over the past seven days? Monopoly. What has Mark been playing? The Grading Game.

Flipping heck! So much stuff squeezed into just under an hour of top-quality entertainment. And all for free? Better go download it via the links below, then, eh.
