Happy Clinic is all about time management. You have a time limit on most levels, and you have to serve a minimum number of patients. If you pick the wrong upgrades, your doctors and equipment won't be good enough to serve the required number of patients in the time available, and you will fail. This will keep happening since you have to clear the level to move on to the next.
This is why it is crucial to make the right upgrades. While knowing what to upgrade next is difficult, the easiest way is to wait for the game itself to tell you. When you click play, you will first be taken to the upgrade screen, where you can improve your staff and equipment. If your staff or equipment is not up to the required level, a recommended tag will appear on them.
But what do you do when there is no recommendation? The best approach is to keep the money and play the next level without an upgrade. In the next few levels, you will get a recommendation and know what to upgrade. But if you have a lot of coins, then upgrade the equipment that increases your revenue. However, make sure that you don't spend everything - keep coins saved for making a recommended upgrade in a future level.

Tip #2 - Join a Society
Once you reach level 21, you can join a society. A society is a clan where you join hands with other players and complete missions to earn medals for your group, which ranks you on a leaderboard and earns you a lot of in-game freebies. You should try to join a high-level society and complete tasks that will earn you many coins and gems. Another benefit of joining a society is getting five free stamina daily from your clanmates.

Tip #3 - Grab free coins
The easiest way to quickly progress in Happy Clinic is by upgrading your staff and equipment, which helps you quickly clear levels. However, upgrading obviously takes a lot of coins, and earning them is not easy. However, there are a couple of ways you can grab free coins. Some methods include:
- After you have placed the mailbox, every 24 hours, you receive a package with free gems and coins
- Collect smileys - they fill the happiness bar, and once it is full, you will earn free coins and gems
- If you connect your Facebook account, it not only saves your progress but also gifts you 2000 coins. Furthermore, you can earn additional 2000 coins by liking the Happy Clinic's Facebook fan page
- There are always in-game events taking place where you can do basic steps and earn free gems and coins, so make sure to participate in them

Tip #4 - Complete achievements to earn gems
As you know by this point, Happy Clinic revolves around coins and gems. The more you have, the more quickly you can clear levels and progress. Achievements are a great source for getting your hands on many free gems.
Gems are the premium currency you can use to purchase coins, boosters and stamina. Completing achievements will get you 5, 10 and sometimes 40 gems. I used 850 gems to buy 45,000 coins, and it only took me three days to collect them. However, it was a huge mistake, and I strongly recommend you purchase premium equipment instead. You can buy a Self-Clear bed for 600 gems or an Auto fan for 300 gems, which will help you clear levels more easily.

Tip #5 - Gameplay strategy
As you progress to a higher level, clearing levels become more challenging. However, your aim should not only be to clear the level but also to do so with flying colours. This way, you can get both keys and unlock the chest, which will help you upgrade your hospital.
Remember, the gameplay is all about time management. The simplest two gameplay tips I can share with you are:
- You should tend to patients on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- You should keep your nurse tray half-filled with regularly required items.
Also, as you progress, it will be chaos, but don't panic. Remember, patients only leave once they run out of patience, which you can track on the bar above their heads. Just be calm and make wise decisions.
