Goddess of Victory: Nikke announces a crossover with legendary anime series Chainsaw Man

Alongside the PC client launch, the popular quasi-idle third-person shooter anime gacha game Goddess of Victory: Nikke has announced plans for a crossover with the beloved anime series Chainsaw Man. Having already revealed the in-game versions of the characters they plan on bringing in, this collaboration brings with it not only new units to use in the battle directly from the anime itself but also some new story content that ties the two together.

The first and so far only unit to be fully revealed with her in-game render thus far is Himeno, a side character from the anime series that plays a pretty big role in the earlier episodes. This eye-patch-wearing, cigarette-smoking wields a massive futuristic gun that looks as if it’s built from bones in her Nikke form, which is interesting given this is a fully original weapon that Himeno does not wield in the anime.

On top of Himeno, we’ve also got Makima and Power confirmed to be coming to the game too, with Makima being the SSR for you to chase after. These three make a lot of sense for Nikke, as they are all loved by fans and are also the primary female members of the Chainsaw Man cast. Given Nikke’s roster is made up of only women so far, it definitely tracks that all three of the main females of the Chainsaw Man cast would end up in the game.

As for the story content, we don’t know a lot about it yet, but we do know that it will see the main cast of Nikke running into the Security Division, Chainsaw Man’s main group of characters, on one of their missions. It’ll be interesting and likely pretty humorous to see these two eccentric groups interact, so I personally can’t wait to see the result.

If you’d like to see these scenes yourself, you can take part in this collaboration from February 22nd to March 14th. In the meantime, download Goddess of Victory: Nikke for free at either of the links below and get started!
