Hey, you made it to the last article on our list - the Free Fire snipers guide! As you probably already know, sniper rifles are one of the hardest weapons to use in Free Fire. Not because the controls are bad or anything, it’s just that it’s a bit hard to aim on mobile devices. You do have the aim assistance, but the touch screen isn’t really made for aiming in FPS games. Or maybe it’s just me?

Anyway, in case you’ve missed our previous Free Fire weapon guides, you have the full list with links here:

The first sniper rifle was the Whitworth rifle. Well, not really a rifle, but a musket! It was used in the American civil war with great success. Another interesting fact would be that the weapon was competing with another sniper made by Lee Enfield (much more recognized), and it was actually much better in terms of both range, and precision.

Guide on how to use the Free Fire sniper rifles

Sniper rifles are probably the most hated and loved weapons in Free Fire at the same time. You’ll feel powerful when you take down someone with one shot to the head from a nice cover or a bush. But when it happens to you, it’s not that fun after all. Usually, you won’t even see a well-placed recon with a sniper rifle! They are often on the top of some high building or a tower, collecting the head of a not-so-innocent hiker.

I’ve found that the best way to counter those players is to drive around in a car, as there is just a minuscule chance you’ll get hit. However, cars make noise, and the noise attracts everyone else. So, be careful when you decide to drive around.

Note that the snipers are not as useful as some other primary weapons in Free Fire when you are trying to assault teams. You’ll probably be able to shoot one guy before his teammate makes a gloo wall and revives him.

The best guide I can give you on how to use snipers in Free Fire would be to try to take the high ground as much as possible! Even the top of the small hill is elevated just enough to give you an advantage over your foes. Not to mention the lonely towers, where you can see everything in a mile radius.

It is wise to avoid urban areas and stay off the towns as much as possible. You want the open wide areas, where your sniper rifle can really make a difference.

Of course, stay at the distance, and always have a close-range weapon like a shotgun or an SMG as a secondary weapon for those nasty enemies that try to get closer. Sneaky little Hobitsesss!

KAR98 - snipers guide

free fire snipers guide - KAR98

KAR98 is the first weapon on our Free Fire snipers guide. It was a bolt-action rifle used by the Germans throughout the whole of WW2. The version that got optics was used by the snipers and it was a pretty reliable weapon.

KAR98 is the most standard sniper rifle in Free Fire. It’s much more common than the AWM, and when you compare the stats on those two, AWM has just a pinch of advantage. So, you can just roll with this sniper until the end of the round, easily!

Stay away, stay hidden and shoot the unsuspecting foes. Sniper rifles aren’t made to run around with them and play like Rambo, they are meant for the safe and patient approach.

By default, KAR98 comes with an 8x scope attached.

KAR 98 Stats

  • DAMAGE: 90
  • RATE OF FIRE: 27
  • RANGE: 84
  • RELOAD SPEED:27
  • MAGAZINE: 5
  • ACCURACY: 90
  • MOVEMENT SPEED: 65

AWM - snipers guide

free fire snipers guide - AWM

AWM isn’t the first weapon in the Free Fire that saw action in the Counter-Strike first. Accuracy International AWM is a sniper rifle made in Britain, that saw a lot of action in both the Iraq and Afganistan wars. It’s still in service by some of the NATO countries even though the production stopped a few years ago.

AWM is one of the most notorious weapons in Free Fire! Although it’s pretty rare to find, because you can only get it from airdrops, the weapon is still feared much more than (probably) any other in the game. A lot of decent players that know how to aim for the headshot will risk everything to get it from an airdrop.

A little guide for new players - avoid chasing after AWM until you learn to play with sniper rifles like KAR98. We know that it’s one of the best weapons in Free Fire, but it’s not worth losing a round trying to get a weapon you probably don’t know how to play with yet.

AWM Stats

  • DAMAGE: 90
  • RATE OF FIRE: 27
  • RANGE: 91
  • RELOAD SPEED:34
  • MAGAZINE: 5
  • ACCURACY: 90
  • MOVEMENT SPEED: 65
  • ARMOR PENETRATION: 0
  • ATTACHMENTS: SILENCER, MUZZLE, FOREGRIP, MAGAZINE

M82B - snipers guide

free fire M82B guide

The last weapon in our Free Fire snipers guide is the most uncommon one. Barret M82 is the full name of this anti-materiel rifle. It’s used by the US army for quite a while now. The sheer price of this weapon will make your head spin, in case its bullet misses you.

Free Fire developers reflected the weapon roles perfectly in some cases. As the anti-materiel rifle is meant for the destruction of the vehicles and equipment, it has the same role in the game!
However, this doesn’t mean that M82B is not effective against the players. Remember, one shot to the head and your enemy will lay dead.

Try to use the silencer if you can find one, as M82B is louder than the basic streamer.

M82B Stats

  • DAMAGE: 90
  • RATE OF FIRE: 27
  • RANGE: 85
  • RELOAD SPEED:41
  • MAGAZINE: 8
  • ACCURACY: 90
  • MOVEMENT SPEED: 55
  • ARMOR PENETRATION: 0
  • ATTACHMENTS: SILENCER

Best sniper in Free Fire

The best sniper rifle in Free Fire is certainly the AWM. There is a good reason players love this weapon. It can fit the most attachments and it doesn’t slow you down like M82B. The stats are clearly better than the ones that KAR98 has. So, we have a clear winner here!

We hope you liked our Free Fire snipers guide and that you’ve learned a lot from our whole series of guides!
