Free Fire is replacing the Elite Pass with the Booyah Pass in the new year

It has been quite an eventful year for Garena’s super popular battle royale, Free Fire. Back in July, the developers announced that they would be revamping the game from the ground up as we enter into a new era of gaming. After being in the business for over five years, it was time for a brand new look and feel to keep things fresh.

One long-standing feature in Free Fire that players have loved is the Elite Pass. It provided users access to a tonne of cosmetics like character outfits, weapon skins, vehicle liveries, and a lot more. While there wasn’t anything wrong with this system, Garena recently announced that they would be discontinuing the Elite Pass, with December being the last month for it.

But wait, there’s no reason to be disappointed because they have something even more awesome in store. Beginning January 1st, 2023, the Elite Pass will officially be replaced by the Booyah Pass, and it’s supposed to be packed with much more content than the EP. So, it’s definitely a win-win situation.

And now that we’re so close to the new year, it’s a good time to check out what his new system might entail. Free Fire’s first-ever Booyah Pass has been titled Fumes on Fire and it includes a lot of goodies. It aims to one-up the EP in all categories as it will have lower prices, better rewards, limited edition items, and loads of other features.

That video embedded above gives a sneak peek at what’s to come in a couple of days. Like the EP, the Booyah Pass will be a monthly affair as well. You can find out more about the Booyah Pass on the official website, with Twitter being the best place to get regular updates.
