Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis delays beta test to Summer next year and releases new trailer

The extremely anticipated mobile entry into the large list of Final Fantasy VII-related media, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, is, unfortunately, going to make us all wait just a little bit longer before we can finally get our hands on it. After shooting for a planned beta test this year, Square Enix has announced that that beta test will now be delayed into the Summer of next year.

Naturally, this is a bit of a bummer, but it was sort of expected since we’re so late into the year and hadn’t heard a lot about Ever Crisis since its initial reveal. It is at least good to know that they are taking their time with this one, as it’s set to be quite an important release for Final Fantasy VII fans.

In case you haven’t heard of it, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is meant to basically combine every single piece of Final Fantasy VII-related media into one experience for players who haven’t been able to keep track of all of those games, movies, and even anime series. There are a ton of Final Fantasy VII spinoffs and prequels and the like, so to have it all combined into one singular experience that will catch everyone up is a blessing.

Unfortunately, we’ll be waiting about half a year before we get our hands on it. Still, judging by the new trailer put out alongside this announcement, it’s shaping up to play and look excellent. With gorgeous 3D visuals alongside some really cool-looking combat, Ever Crisis will likely be a huge release once it finally launches.

Till then, we’ll just have to wait it out and stay prepared for that day. In the meantime, you can check out the official website for more information!
