CookieRun: Crumble best teams - No cookie-cutter character comps here

If you've only just started playing CookieRun: Crumble, chances are you want to min-max everything you can. You want to deploy some good cookies that will help you clear the stages without giving you too much trouble along the way. Personally, I suffered a bit early on, since I didn't think things through and just deployed whatever cookies I had - once I realised my mistake, I immediately set out to create the best team.

So, that leads us to this guide on the best teams in CookieRun: Crumble! I've decided to go for two team categories: an early-game team comp and a late-game one. The reason I put an early-game comp here is exactly because of what I mentioned in the intro. Some players might struggle to pass a stage, and that's simply because the team they have is not optimised, and it doesn't take advantage of the team synergies.

What are team synergies?

You should think of team synergies as passives that increase the ability of allies that share the same trait. For instance, when you deploy Cream Soda Cookie, she has two: she grants Range synergy, and she receives Projectile Speed synergy. Some cookies have just one synergy trait, but each cookie MUST have at least one. 

Team synergy breakdown

These are the stats that cookies can activate or receive:

• Rapid Fire: Skills activate more times in succession when affected by this synergy
• Range: Range is increased when affected by this synergy.
• Duration: Skill Duration increases when affected by this synergy.
• Projectile Speed: Skills' Projectile Speed increases when affected by this synergy.
• Volley: Shots fired simultaneously increase when affected by this synergy.
• Chain: Skills may Chain additional times when affected by this synergy.
• Pierce: Skills Pierce through more enemies when affected by this synergy.

When checking a cookie, you can see if they grant or receive synergy bonuses. You should ALWAYS deploy at least one cookie that grants a synergy bonus, so your team will have some additional stats - but don't overdo it, because you shouldn't play an SR cookie over an SSR just to activate the synergy. It's not worth it.

Also, the more cookie slots you unlock on the team, the more synergies you can have active. 

How to unlock more team slots in CookieRun: Crumble?

Team slots unlock as you keep progressing through the main story. You start with three, then four slots, and the rest you will unlock as you progress, up to twelve slots. When you beat certain stages, you will automatically open a team slot. These stages are: 

• Fifth team slot: Stage 1-8 
• Sixth team slot: Stage 1-27
• Seventh team slot: Stage 3-30
• Eighth team slot: Stage 5-30
• Ninth team slot: Stage 7-30
• Tenth team slot: Stage 9-30
• Eleventh team slot: Stage 11-30
• Last team slot: Stage 13-30

Now that we've got the difficult part out of the way, let's start by breaking down the best team compositions. 

CookieRun: Crumble best team for early game

I think it's important to mention an early game team here for all the new players who simply don't have end-game units. We've all been there - getting to the end-game is a process, after all. So, using some "noob" units could work. Let's break down the team comp.

• Dark Cherry Cookie
• Grapevine Cookie
• Orange Cookie
• Knight Cookie
• Alchemist Cookie

Recommended Pets: Any that you have

Since Dark Cherry Cookie is given to all players (plus a dupe), I think making a team around it that every new player can recreate makes sense.

It is a Fire / Charge cookie that can frontline in the early game comp and provide solid DPS if Rapid Fire synergy is activated. There are currently 2 Rapid Fire providers, Grapevine Cookie and Orange Cookie, but for this team I recommend Grapevine Cookie, which is easily accessible. 

Grapevine Cookie is a support unit that provides heals to low HP allies. Alchemist Cookie is a solid DPS option as it also benefits from the Range synergy. Lastly, Knight Cookie is a Light-Tank but also a Range provider. 

Mid/Late Poison Stacking Team (no TSSR cookies)

• Scorpion Cookie
• Tiger Lily Cookie
• Milk Cookie's Crunchy Strong Pediatrician
• Milky Way Cookie
• Lemon Cookie
• Pomegranate Cookie
• Espresso Cookie
• Strawberry Shortcake Cookie
• Cream Soda Cookie
• Toothpaste Cookie
• Dark Choco Cookie

Recommended Pets: Octo Wasabi, Furball Pup, Banana Lion

This team strategy focuses on Poison Damage-Over-Time (DoT) stacking, and it uses overlapping synergies to melt enemies.

Scorpion Cookie is the primary damage dealer, relying on a steady stream of poison needles to stack continuous damage until targets collapse. 

Tiger Lily Cookie acts as both a force multiplier and sub-DPS. As a Volley Synergy provider, she allows Scorpion Cookie to fire extra needles for faster poison buildup, while her Tiger Rider form delivers heavy single-target attacks.

Crunchy Strong Pediatrician Milk Cookie provides vital healing alongside continuous attack buffs that steadily ramp up the party's damage output.

Both Tiger Lily and Crunchy Strong Pediatrician Milk Cookie give the Duration Synergy, which extends transformation times, buff uptimes, and shared effects. Together, the trio creates a self-sustaining cycle of prolonged buffs, rapid poison stacking, and high sustained damage.

Of course, this team has no TSSRs, since I haven't had a chance to unlock them yet (mainly), so more teams will be added once I unlock them!
