Chillingo has released Zombie Escape for iPhone and iPod touch, marking yet another undead game in the publisher's extensive portfolio of zombie-related apps.

The game squeezes in between Pro Zombie Soccer, Zombie Wonderland and Monster Mayhem.

The latest is a mix between line-drawing and tower defence, as you lay down traps and deadly weapons to fend off the shuffling corpses, while picking out safe routes to get survivors into choppers. The choice is yours whether to distract the zombies long enough to get away, or wipe them off their semi-mortal coil.

It takes place over 28 levels, in zones like downtown, airport and forest. You’ve got to tackle four different types of brain-hungry attackers, but you’ll have plenty of firepower to get the job done: sniper rifles, bombs, distracting meat and the like.

Plus, once you’ve nailed the campaign, you can play in the endless survival mode and work towards achievements and getting on the game’s Crystal leaderboards.

This, thankfully, concludes the publishers four-strong zombie line-up announced earlier this year. It’s been tiring running away from all these shuffling corpses.

Zombie Escape is available to download for iPhone and iPod touch, for £0.59/$0.99/€0.79.
