HoYoverse is ending the year with a bang as Zenless Zone Zero drops a new trailer to prove that the hype is very much real. In particular, New Eridu's going to witness the arrival of Astra Yao into the urban fantasy RPG - how exactly is Random Play going to keep up with this iconic star?
In case you're unfamiliar, Zenless Zone Zero is top-dog HoYoverse's most recent release, and I honestly had an absolute blast playing it when it first came out. The ultra-cool character designs and super-slick action during combat are unparalleled - little wonder it already garnered 50 million downloads in just the first three days of its launch in July alone.
Now, there was only one teeny tiny thing I didn't like about the whole thing, and that was its dull and monotonous TV mode. All that's about to change, apparently, as the next version update, "A Storm of Falling Stars", promises to revamp that mode beginning December 18th, so it's definitely worth sticking around for that.
As for the new character, Astra Yao seems to be a new force to reckon with not only thanks to her commanding presence on stage but also to her combat prowess.
By the way, did you know that HoYoverse might actually be developing a possible life sim right now? There was a confidential playtest and all, but it's all a little hush-hush for now. Pretty intriguing, though.
