If you've only just started trying to navigate the titular uncharted vastness of Uncharted Waters Origin, you'll likely have a whole bunch of burning questions on your mind. Much as I would've liked it to be otherwise, most of these don'ts come from real gameplay experience, not theory. I've even tried restarting everything, thinking it would be a good idea, when in reality, I should've just saved up Gold.

That is, in fact, one of the tips we'll discuss below, so let's get right to it!Tip #1 - Don't rush the Main Story
The main story is tempting to push through, but rushing it can actually slow your progress later. Many systems, like better ships, stronger officers, and profitable trade routes, unlock naturally as you explore and build reputation.
I suggest you spend time sailing, discovering ports, and completing side quests before pushing story chapters. You will progress more smoothly after, and you'll also get to enjoy the beautiful RPG for what it is.
Tip #2 - Be consistent with trading
New players tend to chase the highest profit trade routes immediately. I know because I did that as soon as I saw the big $$$.
That's not always a good idea.
Early on, focus on shorter and more reliable routes between nearby ports. Do your best to learn the price patterns and other such details. A steady trade loop with modest profit is far better than risky long-distance runs that leave you broke if the market shifts or pirates interfere.
Tip #3 - Save up your gems
As tempting as it is, don't spend your blue gems on anything. Save them all until you have 500, so you can expand your shipyard. This will speed up the ship-building process, which, essentially, is what this Uncharted Waters Origin guide is all about.
You'll need good ships, you'll need upgraded ships, and you'll need a good shipyard to do so.
I would ideally recommend saving up all your important items and currency, instead of spending them early on. You will find better use for everything once you're at a higher level. It all takes time, so have patience!
Tip #4 - Exploration pays off more than you think
Exploration is not just filler content. Discoveries grant you gold, fame, and other benefits that unlock better contracts. Some players tend to ignore exploration because they think it's just a little something on the side, but the reality is different.
The rewards feel small at first, but over time, they will add up. If you rank high enough in one of the areas, you'll even get additional rewards. I know, it's time-consuming and not THAT fun, but it's something that you can do whenever you have some free time.

Tip #5 - Do your Daily and Weekly activities
Daily and weekly tasks are some of the most boring ones - especially if you're someone who's played for a long time. They are super repetitive, but they provide plenty of resources that stack up every single day.
I suggest you make a cup of tea or coffee in the morning and just start your day with it. Getting them out of the way first thing is the easiest route to take. Just treat them as part of your routine, even if you only log in for a short session.
