The Wrapp - Vampires, rushing about, and searching for Square Enix
What are the Pocket Gamer team playing this weekend?

The Wrapp is a little more sparse this week compared to last, since a couple of the team are off enjoying well-deserved holidays. But there's still enough of us left holding down the fort to discuss our weekend gaming plans. This time, Shaun struggles to find any mobile-related left from Square Enix, Iwan lowkey admits to a vampire obsession, and Toni tests out a future career as a delivery person. Oh, Catherine and Will also remain in love with Kingdom Rush Battles. But you already knew that, right?

Freelance WriterI just grabbed Totally Reliable Delivery Service for free on Epic Games, so hopefully I’ll be able to grab a couple of friends to enjoy co-op mode this weekend! I’ve dabbled in it on Game Pass before, and it’s always a total laugh trying to fight my way through a seemingly endless day as the world’s worst delivery driver. I wonder how many of my parcels have been thrown out of helicopters/dropped off ravines/run over by forklifts before they’ve made it to me. Based on the condition they arrive in, I’d imagine a few.

Reviews EditorI’ve been obsessed with Kingdom Rush Battles lately, so I’m looking to switch things up a little bit this weekend. Thankfully, there’s Blast Survivor to try for my next Ahead of the Game feature, even though it actually looks just as stressful.
Offline, I’m looking forward to cooping up in a tiny corner at home to work on my latest miniature dollhouse, which I like to lose myself in during my spare time. Poking at tiny sticks and glueing bits and bobs together while trying to avoid cutting my own clumsy fingers keeps me entirely and utterly absorbed without any regard for the outside world - it’s essentially my idea of the perfect weekend.

Freelance WriterStill reeling from getting to play Kingdom Rush Battles early, I've decided to rerun through the entire series. While Ironhide has created numerous games, Kingdom Rush is one of their most notable! While Battles is more of a competitive PvP affair, the previous entries are all single-player campaigns where you lead your army across different regions to fight battles by building towers (offence is the best defence, bah!).
I've already completed the campaigns of Kingdom Rush, Kingdom Rush Frontiers, and Kingdom Rush Origins. I'm currently on Kingdom Rush Vengeance and will soon return once more to Kingdom Rush Alliance! So much rushing… I'm gonna lie down.

Staff WriterI’ve been keeping my usual two or three games in rotation (Vampire Survivors and Balatro, of course), but right now it’s mostly the joys of checking in on the former. Vampire Survivors just got a brand-new board game Kickstarter after all, and I’ve barely even scratched the surface of the Castlevania content!
Rest assured, I’ll be jumping into that, and maybe a bit of Symphony of the Night like last week, too. It’s vampires all the way for me, it seems.

Staff WriterI have been on something of a Square Enix kick lately, diving into Stranger of Paradise finally, and my continued journeys in Eorzea. So I might check out one of Square's mobile offerings. Maybe Opera Omnia. Oh, wait, they closed that. Or The First Soldier. Nope, that’s gone too. Brave Exvius! Ah, also gone.
Hmmm… I guess that leaves us with Ever Crisis. I played that quite a lot when it first launched, then came up against the problem that I had completed all the content it had at the time. There is a lot more now, though, so I think I will enjoy that.

Deputy & Special Projects EditorI first covered Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley for, say it quietly, another website when it was Switch and PC-bound. I've always enjoyed the show's art style and the idea of combining that with Sigur Rós' beautiful music sounds like a match made in heaven. However, as is often the case, it passed me by and eventually slipped from my memory. Now it's out on mobile, though, I'm determined to give it a try.
