The Accursed Crown of the Giant King is a retro RPG out now on iOS, and the first chapter is free

Merry Prankster Games has officially announced the release of The Accursed Crown of the Giant King, letting players get their hands on the old-school RPG on iOS devices. The first chapter is free-to-play, with in-app purchases to unlock the remaining three chapters.

In The Accursed Crown of the Giant King, players can look forward to diving into a classic role-playing game feel as they embark on a perilous journey in the first chapter, "Danger in Greenvale". The free chapter includes its own conclusion, and the next three chapters can be unlocked for a fee.

According to the press release, "Generations ago, the curse of the Crown of the Giant King finally splintered the ancient Kingdom of Giants. Now, a hundred years later, the curse has spread its malevolent influence south, and engulfed the Duchy of Northfell in ruin and despair. A band of heroes is needed to break the curse, and return peace and prosperity to the land."
