Solo Leveling: Arise, the highly anticipated mobile aRPG adaptation of the popular manhwa series, releases its first promotional video

Netmarble has finally released a small showing of their highly anticipated mobile game Solo Leveling: Arise. Based on the extremely popular manhwa of the same title, this action RPG seeks to take the high-octane thrilling action of the series and transfer it into a playable experience right in our pockets!

Solo Leveling is an incredible manhwa, and it’s easy to see why it’d make for an awesome action game upon reading. The story sees the protagonist, Sung Jinwoo, begin as a low-level hunter in a world decided by power levels. Embarking on an expedition with a crew of other decently levelled adventurers, they bite off more than they can chew, and Jinwoo alongside his crew gets absolutely decimated by a large demonic entity.

After experiencing the death of his friends, Jinwoo suddenly gains a mysterious power that allows him to raise the dead as an army of Shadows, all controlled by him. On top of this, where other hunters are usually limited in their growth to a degree, Jinwoo gains the ability to level up endlessly. He vows revenge, and embarks on a journey to become an overpowered legend of the world using his new abilities.

This leads to some of the coolest combat I have ever seen within both manga and manhwa alike, and all of these fights perfectly lend themselves to an action RPG. Be it with other high-level figures, or giant monsters hellbent on destroying humanity, Jinwoo eventually becomes a cool and collected killer, and soon you’ll get to experience this journey by taking control of him and his Shadows both.

Currently, Solo Leveling: Arise has no official release date. For now, all we have to go off of is the promotional video featured above. Still, this is definitely one to keep an eye on, especially if you’re already a fan of the series.
