Desert Detectors is one of the most satisfying, simple, and fun Roblox experiences if you're someone who enjoys casual stuff. In essence, you have to dig up items and sell them, ultimately aiming for big loot.
Digging will take a lot of time if you don't upgrade from the basic shovel, which is why I thought it would be a good idea to share what I believe is Desert Detectors' best shovel. You'll need all the Sheckles you can get because it's going to be EXPENSIVE (trust me on that one), but it will be worth it.
Hopefully, you'll still have some juice left in the tank by the time you're done digging.
What's Desert Detectors' best shovel?
For a complete beginner, I recommend going for the Speedy Shovel. It's not that strong, but it is decent enough to let you dig up quickly. Digging fast is important because you don't want other players outdigging you, especially when you're trying to dig up important relics like Meteorites.The Speedy Shovel is not that expensive, and you'll be able to afford it soon enough.
After you get the Speedy Shovel, you want to aim for a mid-tier shovel. I went for the Divinity Shovel right after, but if you're patient, you can go straight for the Pharaoh Shovel.
The best: Pharaoh Shovel
- It has about 80% Speed and 80% Power, which is INSANE. You want to get it pronto.
- The Pharaoh Shovel costs 575,000 Sheckles.
- It grants you 5% Pharaoh's Vision Ability

- The Pharaoh Detector costs 2 million Sheckles
- It has about 75% Speed and 78% Range, which is really good
- It grants you 5% Cursed Item Chance
Hands-down, the best detector is the Pharaoh Detector since it has a big range and it's also fairly fast. The only drawback is that it goes for 2,000,000 Sheckles. Save up for it.
Until you get the Pharaoh Detector, I suggest you go for the Gold Detector. This one is safe, it's cheap, and it gets the job done. Yes, it's a little bit slow and it doesn't have the biggest range, but it IS good enough. I personally used it until I saved up for the Pharaoh Detector.
Where to find the Pharaoh Shovel and Pharaoh Detector?
You can find both of them next to the NPC "MERCHANT", between the second and third pyramids. The pyramids are located to the West of Dusthaven. If you spawned in Dusthaven, all you have to do is position West from behind the Blacksmith and walk in a straight path. Or, you can take a ride too; it's pretty much the same.How to farm more Sheckles fast?
What I did and what worked for me pretty well was to upgrade my detector first, and then farm the spots that give me Red or Rainbow quality exclamation marks.
