The season of love is coming to Pokémon Go as Niantic is celebrating Valentine’s Day over this week and the next. Love is in the air as players can participate in new events and challenges, catch Pokémon, participate in raids, and also finally see the debut of an evolutionary line of Fairy-type Pokémon.

Kicking things off with the hallmark event, between February 10th and 14th, players can catch the three Fairy-type Pokémon – Flabébé, Floette, and Florges, who are making their debuts. They will be available in red, yellow, orange, blue, and white colours and the evolutions will require 25 Flabébé Candy and 100 Flabébé Candy and 20 Hearts respectively. The colours will vary with the region, with Red Flower Flabébé appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Blue Flower Flabébé appearing in the Asia-Pacific region, and Yellow Flower Flabébé in the Americas. Trainers can also make use of 2x Lure Module duration, 2x Catch Candy, and more gifts from Buddy Pokémon during this event.

Starting tomorrow, February 9th and until February 15th, players can participate in the Global Valentine’s Day Challenge. Niantic aims to spread some love by having trainers from all over the world send gifts to their friends. One breaching a global limit of sending over 70,000,000 Gifts, everyone will be able to enjoy 3x Transfer Candy for the remaining event time.

Additionally, Furfrou can also change its form from the Natural Form Furfrou to Heart Trim Furfrou. This can be done from the Change Form button in the menu. It will cost 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust. After completing the Collection Challenges, players will earn encounters with a female and male Frillish. Gallade and Gardevoir will also be able to learn special attacks during this event.

There are also numerous Pokémon who will appear more frequently in the wild like Luvdisc, Woobat, Volbeat, Chansey, and more. Registeel and Mega Houndoom can be encountered in Five-star and Mega Raids respectively. Field Research Tasks will feature Pikachu, Eevee, Luvdisc, and Ralts, or one of Frillish, Alomomola, and Spinda if you’re lucky. Lastly, the item shop will also have new Valentine’s Day-themed items to buy.
