Pokemon Go will feature Noibat as the Community Day Pokemon in February 2023
We’re only about halfway through Pokémon Go’s calendar of events for January 2023, but Niantic has already begun planning next month. Usually, the first announcement of an event for the next month is for a Community Day and, true to form, that's what happens as details for the February 2023 Community Day have been revealed.
Coming to Pokémon Go during February 2023’s Community Day is Noibat. On February 5th between 2:00 and 5:00 pm local time, the Soundwave Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild along with its Shiny variant. Trainers can also gain encounters with this Pokémon by participating in the Community Day Special Research Story – Abundant Noise, which costs $1.00 or your local equivalent.
What’s the advantage of catching Noibat repeatedly on the 5th? Well, if players manage to gather enough Candy to evolve Noibat into Noivern by 10:00 pm local time, they will gain a Pokémon that knows the Charged Attack Boomburst. It deals 150 damage in Trainer Battles and 140 damage in Gyms and Raids.
And if enough Noibat still aren’t caught, the Bonus Raid Battles will prove to be quite handy. The Pokémon will be featured in four-star raids that can be accessed using Remote Raid Passes and Raid Passes. Beating the Pokémon will ensure that Noibat is available around that Gym for 30 minutes.
As always, a number of bonuses will be available too, that change from time to time. Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours. This will make catching Pokémon more lucrative as 3x Stardust, 2x Candy, and 2x Candy XL will be rewarded for it. In addition to this, trades will be at a 50% discount and an extra Special Trade can be done too.
