This time of the year is always one that is full of celebrations and Pokémon Go makes sure that trainers don’t miss out on any of the festivities in-game. In India, people will celebrate Diwali next week, for which the Festival of Lights event already went live. The Halloween celebrations will take place in two parts, with the first going live tomorrow.

And now, on November 1st and 2nd, we celebrate yet another festival, one which is primarily observed in Mexico and some parts of the Americas, Día de Muertos, or, Day of the Dead, where people celebrate the lives and memories of their friends and family who are no longer with us.

In-game Pokémon join in on the fun as they will don themed costumes. Players will be able to find Duskull and its evolutions, Dusclops, and Dusknoir wearing a cempasúchil crown, which is a headband of orange marigold flowers.

Additionally, Pokémon like Cubone, Chinchou, Sunkern, and Roselia will appear more frequently in the wild, something trainers in Latin America and the Caribbean can enjoy at an even higher rate.

Other event bonuses include Lure Modules and Incense duration being extended to 90 minutes and 2x Catch Candy being given away to everyone. Furthermore, a special Día de Muertos Collection Challenge will go live during the event, rewarding players with a Poffin, Incense, and an encounter with Alolan Marowak.

As always, a list of Field Research tasks will be made available, which will grant encounters with Pokémon like Cubone, Roselia, Litwick, and Houndoom. To top it off, the item shop will also be stocked up for Día de Muertos as new avatar items featuring face paint and new threads will go live during the event. The set will continue to be up for purchase after the festival too.

Celebrate Día de Muertos soon by downloading Pokémon Go for free.
