Pokemon Go unveils A Valorous Hero event featuring Candela and her Ponyta
Over the last month, Team Leaders in Pokémon Go have needed quite a bit of help from trainers in order to fulfil their endeavours. It all began with Blanche requesting a hand during the A Mystic Hero event, followed by Spark and Elekid asking for help in An Instinctive Hero. This leaves Candela of Team Valor, who’s finally looking for her own support.
After completing tasks revolving around evolutions and egg hatching, Pokémon Go’s A Valorous Hero takes trainers on yet another research-filled journey. It sees a number of in-game activities being hosted for everyone between May 11th at 10:00 am to the 17th at 8:00 pm local time.
Gen One fans are in for a ride because Mega Pinsir will be making its debut in Mega Raids during the event. The Stag Beetle Pokémon will be up for grabs through raid battles and a few lucky players may also find a Shiny variant lurking somewhere. In addition, everyone will receive 2x Candy for catching Pokémon and trainers above level 331 also get more Candy XL.
The previous two events have featured the leaders’ trusty Pokémon in some way or the other. A Valorous Hero is no different, as the Special Research Story with Candela will go live next week. It tasks players with numerous challenges that ultimately grant an encounter with Ponyta wearing a Candela-themed accessory. This is the only way to get this Pokémon in the current season.
Of course, a regular Ponyta can still be obtained through Field Research Task encounters will also award Stardust, Revives, and Hyper Potions. On top of that, players can earn a Fast TM and Charged TM by participating in the Timed Research. Finally, An Everyday Hero remains available for the rest of the Rising Heroes Season.
