Smoking Gun Interactive has announced a chilling new update to Phobies, the studio's strategic card game that's all about weaponising your fears. In particular, the "Phobies Carnival of Fears" update lets players engage in some themed turn-based tactics this Halloween season beginning October 4th.

In Phobies, players can expect new characters and fresh abilities, along with special environments they can unleash their nightmares on. Among the eight new Phobies include Bad Omen, the Luchador Twins, and the Werewolf; plus, there will be six unique abilities to tinker around with as players find the best strategies to take down their foes in combat.

The new update also adds 10 new map layouts along with 30 challenges that will put players' strategic prowess to the test. There will be limited-time special offers each week plus new costumes and spine-tingling music to keep players fully immersed into the Halloween festivities as well. As an added surprise, players can also try their luck inside Jacks - who knows? They might even score an exclusive avatar for a spooky delight.
