Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm will be heading to Nintendo Switch this Fall
The game has previously been available on iOS through Apple Arcade
A previous tease from Oceanhorn 2 developers Cornfox & Bros seemed to point towards a Switch version of their adventure game. Now, Nintendo fans will be pleased to know that's exactly what the tease was for as Cornfox & Bros have revealed today that the game will be heading for Switch this Fall.
A specific date hasn't been revealed just yet, nor is there any word on what this version of the game will cost. It is, of course, currently available on Apple Arcade but given that's a subscription service it doesn't really provide us with any real clue with regards to the price.
You can check out some gameplay from the Switch version in the trailer you'll find in the embedded tweet above. It certainly looks very pretty but then if you've already dabbled in the iOS version you're probably well aware of that. The day you've been waiting for is finally here. #Oceanhorn2: Knights of the Lost Realm will release on #NintendoSwitch this Fall! pic.twitter.com/8ypJbTugs0 — Cornfox & Bros. - Oceanhorn 2: Golden Edition review - "A wonderful stand-in for Zelda on mobile, but is that enough?"
If you're not familiar with Oceanhorn 2, however, it's an action-adventure game that takes more than a few cues from Zelda. It's been a headline game for Apple Arcade and it's not surprising that Switch and Android users alike have been clamouring for a port to their platform of choice given how lovely it looks.
Cameron has reviewed the game following the release of the Golden Edition of Oceanhorn 2 on iOS and whilst he found the game very technically competent, he also believed it doesn't stray far enough from its influences.
Oceanhorn 2 is available now on Apple Arcade, a subscription service that costs $4.99 per month. For more information on other games that are available in its extensive library, check out our dedicated hub page. It will be heading to Nintendo Switch this Fall.
