Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm adds a collectible card mini-game called Arcadian Tarock in its latest update

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm from independent developer Cornfox & Brothers is spicing things up with an in-game CCG for the hit action RPG. Arcadian Tarock has arrived in version 3.0 of the prequel to Oceanhorn: Monsters of Uncharted Seas, letting players dive into the game in an entirely different way.

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm will let players challenge almost any NPC they come across to a game of Arcadian Tarock. The collectible card game within the game features fifty cards to collect and tons of abilities to master. There will also be card-related quests to keep things interesting along with different levels of mastery.

Back in 2014, Oceanhorn: Monsters of Uncharted Seas’ Fishing mini-game was received very warmly. Since then, we have been thinking about what kind of immersive mini-game we’d like to add to Oceanhorn 2,” says Heikki Repo, Creative Director of Cornfox & Brothers. “The main game itself was such an undertaking that we had to put all ideas on hold for a while. But today, I’m happy to introduce Arcadian Tarock! Like the Fishing mini-game, Arcadian Tarock is built as part of the adventure itself. I hope our players will have fun as they collect the full deck and that the lore included with the cards can provide our true fans with new insights as they crack the story behind the Oceanhorn universe.

The update adds more hours of gameplay with fresh lore, a new Treasure Radar map functionality, a better UI and combat optimisations. If you're eager to give it a go, you can download Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm on the Apple Arcade subscription service.
