First iPhone 4 pre-orders sold out

Get yourself to the Apple Store

First iPhone 4 pre-orders sold out
|

This is a familiar story. After Apple made the iPhone 4 available to pre-order on the Apple Store, so many people rushed to buy it (in black only, as the white model was evidently sold out by the time the product appeared online) that the current stock is gone. Pre-orders have been pushed back to July, with a shipping date of July 2nd.

Of course, you can still get your hands on one by just strolling into a physical store on June 24th, though it's probably wise to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

If you're going with a contract, your chosen operator should also be able to supply you with an iPhone 4.

Tariff details are starting to emerge. Orange and O2 have formally come out, with Vodafone accidentally revealing its tariffs before promptly hiding them again. We'll have more on prices soon, but to give you an idea, on Orange a 32GB iPhone 4 on a 24 month tariff will set you back £99 for the device and £75 a month thereafter.
