N-Innocence, the latest project from developer ASOBIMO, has officially opened up pre-registrations for its 2D anime action within the US and Canada. This new action-packed sci-fi-themed gacha RPG that combines various different parts of a couple of historical mythologies is looking to launch within regions outside of Southeast Asia where it has already launched sometime this year, and eager players can now get ahead of the curve and grab those sweet pre-registration awards right now.

N-Innocence, from the looks of the gameplay at least, is seeking to dethrone kings of the 2D action genre like Counterside or Brave Frontier using some super frantic and fast-paced combat combined with gorgeous anime-styled visuals and a pretty unique combo-based fighting system that lands somewhere between Dungeon Fighter Online and any fighting game out there.

I’m sure that sounds confusing, so allow me to elaborate on what you’re likely to experience. Judging by gameplay seen from the SEA client, N-Innocence sees you setting a primary character, one of three in your party, and heading into combat against a singular enemy rather than hordes of them. This is no turn-based affair, but is instead focused on combining each member of your party for huge combos.

You’ll do this by utilising your primary lead’s abilities while also tapping on the icons of your other party members on the bottom right, which will cause them to leap in with attacks that will link up with your combo, allowing you to keep the chain going for as long as possible. This makes for some really dynamic and unique combat altogether, and looks quite flashy too.

Story-wise, N-Innocence combines different mythologies ranging from Japanese to Norse and everything in between to offer up a diverse cast who all go on a world-spanning adventure to end the mysterious evil that’s plaguing the lands. It’s nothing super deep, but it gets the job done.

If you’re looking for what could be a real big deal for fans of action gacha games, N-Innocence might be the game for you. You can currently pre-register for it at either of the links below, as long as you’re located within the U.S. or Canada.
