MU: Dark Awakening tier list (March 2026) - Pick the finest mount

With so many mounts to choose from in MU: Dark Awakening, the choice can be paralysing. Fortunately, our tier list is here to help you out.

MU: Dark Awakening is this kind of RPG that you just can't stop playing. One minute you're launching the game, and the next your weekend is already over. Yes, it is that hard to put it down.

Travelling in a vast open world can be tedious and time-consuming, but fortunately, this MMORPG offers a variety of mounts. In our MU: Dark Awakening tier list, we'll rank them all so you'll quickly know which ones are the best.

If you're looking for redeem codes, don't forget to check out our MU: Dark Awakening codes list to grab some nice rewards, such as Jewels and Crystals.

After choosing your class (there are only three to choose from), you step into a world of dark fantasy and launch yourself into large-scale battles, with hundreds of players fighting. Since your character levels up quickly, you won't need to be constantly grinding.

Mounts are not only used to travel: they can help during fights with their combat power and skills, so they're an essential part of your adventure. If you're wondering which mounts are the best, click below to access our MU: Dark Awakening tier list.

1
S Tier

On top of our MU: Dark Awakening tier list, you'll find the best mounts you can get. They've got massive combat power and really useful skills, but they are not F2P-friendly.

  • Wraithfang
  • Golden Derkon
  • Luminara
  • Sacred Fenix
  • Ancient Kraken
  • Lava Orc
  • Wraithfang is currently the best mount in this MMORPG. It has one of the highest combat power values, and its skill can stun enemies, making it a strong companion in combat. Sacred Fenix is also a good pick as its skill can revive your character with a small amount of healing.

Luminara and Lava Orc are specialised in defense as they reduce the damage taken, and Ancient Kraken's skill freezes its target while also reducing its resistance. Finally, Golden Derkon has a massive 100157 combat power and reduces all mounts' skill cooldowns.

    2
    A Tier

These mounts are still really useful, with a good amount of combat power and good skills. They can be unlocked via special events or with in-game currency.

  • Lava Might
  • Auspice Dragon
  • Saint Mammoth
  • Glacier Lion King
  • Crimson Nightmare
  • Void Leviathan
  • Stellar Horse
  • Rainbow Steed
  • Auspicious Pig
  • Santa's Sled
  • Yearbeast
  • Dragonboat
  • Blaze Boar
  • Hellish Guardian
  • Lunar Drifter
  • Holy Quadriga
  • Ice Queen Sleigh
  • Roaming Scroll
  • Sparkle Hook Tail
  • Ocean Overlord
  • Quantumon
  • Flying Present
  • Auspice Dragon has a chance to apply an attack debuff to its enemies, but only for 2 seconds and after a 30-second cooldown. Saint Mammoth is also specialised in defense: with its protection, your character won't take more than 4% of its Max HP in damage, and it will gain a damage reduction between 1% and 3%.

Void Leviathan's skill, Cetacean Power, has a 30% chance to grant damage immunity for 3 seconds. It's pretty much the same for Stellar Horse, which can trigger a 10% DMG Reduction for 3 seconds when attacked.

    3
    B Tier

These mounts start to become weaker than the ones in the S and A tiers. Their skills are more situational, so they don't prove useful in every type of content.

  • Golden Nightspeed
  • Phantom Steed
  • Beatquack
  • Frost Tiger
  • Aegis Rhino
  • Infernal Scorpion
  • Radiance Warbear
  • Blazing Goldlion
  • Azure Blazewolf
  • Kitty Knight
  • Battle Roar
  • Nether Hound
  • Gilded Stinger
  • Enchanted Carpet
  • Summit Bloom
  • Steampunk
  • Panda Partner
  • Lotus – Skyward
  • Golden Pig – Spring
  • Auspice Cloud
  • Phantom Chariot
  • Blooming Frost
  • Half-fan
  • Wyrmsteed
  • Baby Anglerfish
  • Ice Valley Snow Beast
  • Frost Giant Elephant
  • Cat Chieftain Horn
  • Red-Nosed Rudolph
  • Overturning Rive Dragonboat
  • Ferocious King
  • Phantom Speed grants a 25% healing bonus when using an HP Potion, with a 5% chance to get a double healing effect. Frost Tiger can freeze its enemies when being attacked, but the chances for its skill to trigger are only 12%.

Infernal Scorpion has a chance to remove a buff effect when attacking a player, which is pretty useful in PvP. Battle Roar is also a nice mount to use against other players since it permanently grants a 10% PvP DMG Boost.

    4
    C Tier

These mounts are just too weak to be really useful in the long run. You should consider using others if you want a really interesting companion.

  • Nimbusis
  • Nightsteed
  • Crocodile
  • Aquila
  • Griffin
  • Giant Panda
  • Blazewolf
  • Dark Blazewolf
  • Golden Blazewolf
  • Mysticstag
  • Seahorse
  • Unicorn
  • Unicorn is your first mount in the game, but unfortunately, it doesn't really do anything. Nimbusis can be useful to grind since each monster kill has a 15% chance to increase the EXP yield by 55%.

All of Blazewolf's variations boost different stats when hitting an enemy, such as ATK, ATK SPD or DEF. Unfortunately, they are just too weak otherwise.

That concludes our MU: Dark Awakening tier list. Don't hesitate to switch between your mounts to try out their skills and find which ones are best depending on your playstyle.

And don't forget to check out some of our other rankings. We've also got a Last Asylum Plague hero tier list and a High Seas Hero tier list

She still has nightmares about it (brrr).
