JoliYeti Games inc. has announced an adorable-looking little title on mobile called Micro RPG, letting players dive into a charming world on both iOS and Android devices later this month. Now on Early Access on Google Play, the game also can be pre-ordered on the iOS App Store ahead of its official release this January.

In Mirco RPG, players can expect some wholesome fun as the game aims to "compact the RPG experience in short sessions on mobile." Pesky monsters have apparently invaded your kingdom while the knights are conveniently on vacation, so it's up to little peasant Theobald to step up and save the country. In the face of overwhelming odds, can you truly swap your spade for a sword and be the hero the kingdom needs?

Featuring turn-based battle mechanics with a hint of strategy and luck, the game lets players battle foes and complete quests to score valuable rewards with each win. You can upgrade your hero and boost your weapon's stats to maximize your battle prowess, as well as unleash colourful combos across five universes. You can also deal damage to multiple foes at once as you unlock more heroes and weapons to up your game.

From the screenshots released online, it does seem like it's a charming experience with lots of bursts of colour in every playthrough. It also features accessible one-finger controls for casual RPG sessions on the go.
