Honor of Kings, Tencent's hit MOBA, is introducing a new, sci-fi-themed event with the Amber Era. It'll see an apocalyptic new event being introduced, alongside skins for many of the cast and some top rewards for players. So what's included? Let's dig in and find out.
First off, there are a whole host of new skins being introduced. Kaizer and Garo's Amber Era skins can now be acquired at a discounted rate, while Arli (S+): Memory Chip, Sun Bin (S): Sirius Wonderboy and Shangguan (S): Sirius Artist will be available from September 20th.
From September 17th to 22nd, you can play in the Full Moon Signal event to earn tokens and exchange for rewards, while from the 13th to the 24th, those who complete the Energy Storm mission can pick from one of five epic skins to boot.
And that's not all, because, alongside in-game events taking place around the Amber Era, there's also the introduction of a whole new hero with Liu Bang, available now! Billed as a great starter hero, he's the perfect character to pick for those wanting to fit neatly into the tank role.
From beyondCalling Amber Era a parallel universe may seem odd, but it's a relatively common convention for many MOBAs to establish their own alt-universe looks. These then tend to be revisited later on for newer characters, or those who didn't get a skin the first time round. So don't fret if your favourite character is going unincluded as they're sure to get a feature sometime in the future.
