Honkai Star Rail drops a brand new trailer to hype up the next character addition

The recently launched and incredibly successful turn-based JRPG gacha game Honkai Star Rail has revealed a brand new spectacular animated trailer to hype up their next big character: Jing Yuan. This character is one of the most anticipated of the bunch that will soon make their way to Honkai Star Rail, as he both looks awesome and, I mean, his character portrait features a massive white tiger which should really tell you all you need to know.

Honkai Star Rail launched only a few weeks back now, not even a month old, and has already become one of the most popular gacha games within the market right now. After the success of Genshin Impact, it’s clear that HoYoverse took a lot of elements from it and brought them into their latest project. A large part of this success, much like the aforementioned Genshin Impact, comes from the lovely character writing and designs, and Jing Yuan is no different.

Without getting too deep into the weeds when it comes to the lore of Star Rail, Jing Yuan plays a very special role in the story. He is the head of one of the massive flagships within the game, and of the faction the Xianzhou Luofu. He’s best known for his meticulous nature, as he dreads saving situations that are nearly already in ruins, and attempts to stay ahead of that by dealing with daily tasks with care and patience.

Gameplay-wise, Jing Yuan is an Erudition Lightning character, meaning you can expect him to do lots of AoE damage and be specialised for dealing with bigger groups as opposed to boss fights or single-target damage. This brand of character is limited within the game right now, and combined with his awesome design, this makes him a character that many players are really excited to grab once his banner drops.
