Hitman 3 is one of the many games in the longtime series and the third in the "World of Assassination" saga where we once again follow in the footsteps of super-assassin, Agent 47. You'll travel around to several different, beautiful locations around the world to take down targets who have been causing corruption in society.

If you're brand new to the Hitman experience, you'll be able to explore each of these large, sandbox maps and can get creative with your assassinations. From wearing mascot costumes to eliminating targets with exploding golf balls, there's no shortage of creativity, humour, and fun in these games.

One good thing is, even if you didn't play the first two games, you'll have the opportunity to go back and play them in Hitman 3 while enjoying the new levels. But, if you're inexperienced with the game on Switch, here are a few Hitman 3 tips to help you eliminate the baddies with style.

Planning is Important

Planning for missions in Hitman 3 can sometimes be critical to your success. This is because you can start with certain items or disguises from the jump that can give you an advantage. Now, keep in mind that, if you're firing up the game for the first time, then you'll start with nothing. But, once you get through a level once (you'll likely play through the same level a few times), you should score a few rewards.

If you heading into a brand new mission, you won't know for sure the best way to prep. So what you may need to do is enter it and just explore to see where your targets are walking to spark some ideas. Targets trek repetitively so they'll head to the same places over and over as if they know you're about to slaughter them.

But you may notice something like a locked door that can be used as a shortcut. This will give you a chance to replan the mission and have a lockpick as a starting item so you can get through those locked doors. That's just a small part of the magic of planning before jumping back in.

Find Items to Throw

Are there some non-targets in your way? One way to combat this is by finding some items to throw. You'll find many things scattered across each map. Find your way into a secluded spot where the NPC is near and then toss it around the location you're in.

This will lure them to that area and this will give you a chance to subdue them. It's a great way to get an annoying NPC out of the way and you'll also likely be able to wear their outfit too, giving you more clearance to different areas within the map. And if there's a box nearby then that's even better as you can hide the unconscious body.

And anything and everything will work. Just be careful not to accidentally aim for the head of the NPC if you're using something like a wrench or crowbar. Some items are just used for distractions like coins and apricots while others, like the aforementioned tools, can be used as both distractions and ways to knock out folks.

Poison is Your Friend

So, this is varied as this won't work well with everyone, but observe your targets and NPCs who are in the way or have a disguise you want. If anyone of them is going to grab something to drink or eat, then that's your opportunity to poison them.

If you want to have as clean a takedown as possible, use Emetic poison. This will make the person find a place a throw up. If that place is a bathroom (sometimes it's a trash can which is not a great spot), then you can quietly take them down and hide them in a near container or closet. If there's none nearby, then just leave them in the bathroom stall.

If there's an NPC or target who's walking around then you can use a poison syringe instead of the consumable kind and stab them in the butt with it. Just make sure they're alone or else you'll be compromised. The effect is the same though. Lastly, if you want to use a more fatal poison, then you can do that as well. The body will likely be found but it's a good quick way to eliminate your targets without being caught. If you are seen poisoning a drink or food item then run as far away from the scene as possible as someone will chase you. Once they stop chasing, then you're home free.
