Hearthstone welcomes you to the Emerald Dream in upcoming expansion

New cards, new keywords, the works

Hearthstone welcomes you to the Emerald Dream in upcoming expansion
  • A Choose One card lets you pick between two modes
  • 145 new cards being added
  • Expansion launches on March 25th

If you've been following the Pocket Gamer team's weekly Wrapps, you'll likely have an idea of just how much I've been trying to get into Hearthstone lately - and it seems I'm now going to be lagging behind with the release of its latest update. In particular, the "Into the Emerald Dream" update will add 145 new cards to the fray, switching up your strategies and combat tactics beginning March 25th.

Of course, along with these new cards come fresh Keywords to digest as well: Imbue (Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, and Shaman) and Dark Gifts (Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior). I'm still learning how each one affects the flow of the battle at the moment, but it seems these will switch up the meta too especially with the expanded keyword Choose One (every class gets a Choose One card - that's two modes to choose from in battle).

Plus, there's a new Legendary minion mixing up the pot with Ysera, Emerald Aspect, so suffice it to say I'll have my work cut out for me when duking it out against these new decks soon.
