Gully Gangs: Street Cricket offers a casual take on the classic sport
Bat for glory

- Gully Gangs: Street Cricket is out now on Android
- It offers 4v4 and 1v1 street cricket matches
- Cheat, taunt and use the playing field and its myriad obstacles to your advantage
When you imagine the sport of cricket, it's hard not to conjure up images of stuffy Englishmen sweltering in white jumpers despite blistering heat. But you may be surprised to learn that, beyond the confines of the UK, this sport is even more popular among professionals and amateurs alike.
I think it's hard to dispute that India is a country of cricket lovers, so it's not surprising that it has a long history of amateur street cricket. And if you've been wanting to experience it for yourself, or head back to your childhood, then Gully Gangs: Street Cricket is for you.
Coming to us from developer 5th Ocean Studios, Gully Gangs follows in the steps of entries in the sports genre, such as NBA Street, which also evoked the fun of amateur players. You'll dive into both 4v4 and 1v1 matches to determine the best cricketer there is on the street.

As you might expect, there's also a host of variations on the rules to manage the smaller scale of street cricket in Gully Gangs. Matches are faster, and dynamic urban environments present obstacles and unpredictable changes, which make them more than just set dressing.
And, if you're a particularly unscrupulous player, you can use the voice chat to taunt your opponents into slipping up, or take the initiative and use cheating mechanics to make your own play. The open beta for Gully Gangs is now live on Android, with a planned iOS release and cross-platform features.
