Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, the mobile third-person card collecting idle shooter has officially launched on iOS and Android

After having received 3 million pre-registrations, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is out now for iOS and Android. Developed by Shift Up and published by Level Infinite, this immersive RPG shooter allows players to dive into a futuristic sci-fi world with guns a-blazing. The game combines card collecting elements with casual shooting in a unique view, as well as real-time combat across a visually stunning 2D environment.

In Goddess of Victory: NIKKE players step into the shoes of a commander in charge of recruiting and deploying battle-hardened humanoid maidens to form the ultimate squad of femme fatales. Combining delicate Anime art style and a thrilling real-time shooting fun, the developers have created an exciting post-apocalyptic world for players to explore and build upon. The game will be playable with either English or Japanese voice-over talent and has a theme called ‘TuNGSTeN’, written for the game by Sawano Hiroyuki, composer of the original Attack on Titan anime theme song.

One of the most interesting aspects of the game is the double strategy of card collecting as you’re able to select both weapons and characters. There are six types of gunfire attacks that players can tinker around with using their NIKKE. The AR (Assault Rifle) excels in middle-distance combat. Rapi uses an Assault Rifle called "Militaria" and despite her apparent coldness, she’s a veteran fighter and will be sure to have your back when danger looms.

In case you need to clear aerial enemy crowds across all distances, then the RL (Rocket Launcher) is the right choice, and we recommend Anis, the bright and energetic NIKKE who is easy going, but knows when to draw the line. The SR (Sniper Rifle), on the other hand, can shoot long distances against single targets with ease and is represented by Maxwell, the fearless former scientist who has no equal when it comes to reading her surroundings.

If you choose the SG (shotgun), you can fire concentrated attacks across a short distance and its representative is the cute but very competent police officer Poli. The SMG (Submachine Gun) deals small bulk damage and heavy firepower in a short distance. Miranda is a NIKKE using this weapon and she can easily be recognized by her military tone and passion. She might be a bit brusque, but she is kindhearted.

Lastly if the combat requires concentrated fire in mid-range, you need the MG (Machine Gun) operated by Diesel. With a pocket full of strawberry candies and always smiling she is acalm and easygoing character but can also be dead serious when needed.

The gunfire is not the only thing to keep in mind when forming your fearless squad. The fierce are classified into three types: explosive/offense, defense, and support/assistance. Players need to make sure that the squad they form include NIKKEs from each category to make sure all bases are covered in the battlefield.

The game features intuitive one-handed controls along with high-quality 2D animation and character art. Players can explore the post-apocalyptic world not just during combat but also in roguelike game modes, puzzles, and co-op battles.

To celebrate the launch, players will be treated with up to 110 free pulls in game, along with two popular SSR characters and 1 SR character. Total rewards vary from player to player and depend on actual event participation; players should refer to the official website for more details. Fans can also join in on the NIKKE X Pixiv Global Illustration Contest beginning November 24th to get a chance to score 370+ million Japanese Yen.
