Goddess of Victory: Nikke teases its next big collaboration, suspected to be with a big JRPG franchise

In a slew of announcements to celebrate its 6-month anniversary, the super successful gacha shooter RPG Goddess of Victory: Nikke has announced its next big collaboration, this time with legendary JRPG series NiER. This crossover effort is a bit surprising given the game just finished up a collaboration with another super popular property, Chainsaw Man, but is great news nonetheless!

Nikke has been a wild success since it launched 6 months back, offering players a unique form of cover-based gunplay as the primary gameplay mechanic. It’s a genre that’s remained mostly untapped within the gacha sphere, and has paid off given it remained one of the more profitable of games within the super over-saturated sphere that is gacha games.

Whether the, shall we say, unique character designs are to blame for that success or the excellently smooth gameplay or the crossovers with huge properties like the aforementioned Chainsaw Man, there’s no telling. What’s for sure is that Nikke players are always eager for more content, and this new collaboration will likely be no slouch in that department.

Currently, the only confirmed news we have regarding the NiER crossover is the teaser featured above. This teaser shows off the game’s title in a font that is very clearly based on the title stylings of NiER.

It’s safe to say that this is for sure NiER, and with that, we'll likely see the protagonist of NiER Automata as a playable character. I say this given that said protagonist is an android much like the cast of Nikke, but also because she is known for having a rather revealing outfit, and Nikke character designs are also known for being rather straightforward in how much they show off, so she’d fit in just fine.

So, whether you're a NiER fan or a Nikke player eager to chew on more content, there’s a lot to look forward to. Why not get a head start and begin your Nikke journey today by downloading it for free at either of the links below?
