Goddess of Victory: Nikke goes ghost ship with new summer event
  • Goddess of Victory: Nikke is chilling the bone to deal with the summer heat
  • Explore an abandoned cruise liner in Boom! The Ghost!
  • Recruit two new SSR characters and enjoy new summer-themed content

As the summer heats up, there are plenty of ways to cool off. But did you know that in Japan, it's traditional to use scary stories and activities as a way to chill? Well, Goddess of Victory: Nikke seems to subscribe to that idea as their new summer event, Boom! The Ghost! arrives on July 17th!

This new story, introduced as part of the Summer Season event, sees you investigating an abandoned cruise liner on the Surface. But what starts as a quick reconnaissance trip quickly descends into spooky shenanigans, requiring your team to start developing ghost-hunting equipment to put an end to the disturbances.

But it's not just ghosts that populate the ship! There are also two new characters with the SSR Dorothy: Serendipity and SSR Elegg: Boom and Shock. Both of whom are brought to the ship for different reasons, to find their precious wings and discover the secrets of the vessel, respectively.

Everybody loves the sunshine

Of course, it wouldn't be the summer without swimsuits, at least where Goddess of Victory: Nikke is concerned, I'm sure. Four of the most popular swimsuits from previous summer events will make a return, while three new outfits will join the lineup.

Not only that, but those of you who aren't concerned in the slightest for swimsuits will still find plenty to do. That's because this new event also introduces a new boss challenge and mini game! That's on top of the Melodies of Victory concert airing for free on YouTube, The Doro Family Tour (July 18th-25th) and the appearance of Nikke at Anime NYC (August 21st-24th) in the coming months.

Fan of Goddess of Victory: Nikke? But don't know where to start with new characters? Well, why not dig into our Goddess of Victory: Nikke tier list, perfect for veterans and newcomers alike!
