It's extremely important to have a strong, viable team in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE since that will dictate how well you will be able to progress in the story mode and your enjoyment of the game overall.

Today's article is all about learning what the best teams in the current meta are, who you should use if you're just starting out and, of course, how you can adjust these teams in the early game to fit into the mid to late game. Before we dive in, you should make sure to read our Goddess of Victory: NIKKE tier list & reroll guide to learn all about the top tier units and how you can reroll your account to try and obtain them for free since that's extremely important if you want to dedicate yourself to the game.

Before we dive into the best teams, it's best that we explain the game's core mechanics, so you will better understand why we had to choose some of the characters we did.

You need to fill the burst meter with the right Burst type

In Goddess of Victory: NIKKE there are 3 types of Burst damage - each character will have one of the three: Burst I, Burst II or Burst III. This burst meter we've mentioned is a progress bar that needs to be filled up with the corresponding type of Burst damage to advance to the next.

For instance, if you're just starting a stage, you will need to use a Burst I character to deal damage to fill up the Burst I progress bar and advance it to Burst II. Once it reaches Burst II, you will need to use Burst II characters to reach Burst III - the same applies to Burst III. Once you have filled up the bar for Burst III, you will be able to unlock Full Burst, which is a massive increase in damage.

As a result, you will need to use all 3 types of characters (Burst I, Burst II, and Burst III) otherwise you will not be able to unlock Full Burst.

How many of each type of character to use on a team

Since you'll need to have at least one of each type of character, you really have two great options: either make a 2-1-2 formation or a 1-1-3 formation. That means 2x Burst I, 1x Burst II, and 2x Burst III, or 1x Burst I, 1x Burst II, and 3x Burst III.

It's a lot easier to make a 2-1-2 formation work than a 1-1-2, since for the latter you will need a highly reliable Burst I and Burst II unit, and sometimes it will prove difficult to complete the late stages of the game.

Reroll for some of the best, top-tier units

We've mentioned our tier list and reroll guide above, but it's worth noting that you SHOULD (and we highly recommend that you do) reroll several times, even if it will take a while, so you can obtain some powerful units from the very beginning - at least some good SRs and one or two SSRs.

Good SSR Teams

Some great "core" teams with mainly SSR units can be good to use in the early game because these units are easier to obtain than others. Here is a great example of a team with mainly SSR characters in them - feel free to swap them out when you obtain some better units!

1
God tier team - Team #1

  • Anis + Diesel + Rapi + N102 + Neon

- Anis is a great Defender who can boost the DEF of 2 allies, and she should always be next to one of the highest Attackers on the team so they can share the damage taken with her.

- Diesel is a great unit with HP recovery and will also boost the reload speed of allies with the Sweet Strawberry Goodness skill. She also has a great Taunt skill, which makes her great in combination with Anis' shared DMG.

- Rapi can taunt one enemy and deal quite a bit of damage.

- N102 and Neon and two supporters who boost allies' Critical and DMG, so they work really well together or individually.

Team #2

  • Liter + Novel + Scarlet + Drake + Harran

We mentioned before the 1-1-3 team, and this is probably the best out there. Or simply put, the best in the game (at the moment). With Liter being the top-tier Burst I unit, Novel an exceptional Burst II and the rest super good Burst III units, you can achieve Full Burst relatively quickly.

In this team, you will have Novel as a debuffer, Liter (as in most teams) as the main support, Scarlet and Harran as DPS, and the last spot for Drake or any other unit that you have available.

3
Team #3

  • Liter + Dolla + Drake + Maiden + Sugar

This is another 1-1-3 team that can work well, with Dolla and Liter being the main supports, and the remaining three units focusing mainly on the damage.

Maiden is a DPS with Taunt in her kit, but since she's got Liter and Dolla as support, she will be able to tank just fine while also inflicting significant damage.

4
Team #4

  • Liter + Yuni + Snow White + Privaty + Maxwell

Yuni and Snow White are a great combo since Yuni will allow Snow White to charge her Burst a lot quicker, and as the main DPS, that's big. The remaining units are also mainly there to support Snow White.

It's probably not the absolute best team out there, but it's a pretty good one since the CBT stages.

Other Viable Team Composition

  • Other team compositions:

- Volume + Yuni + Alice + Drake + Privaty
- N102 + Belorta + Diesel + Harran + Rapi
- N102 + Anis + Diesel + Scarlet + Rapi
- N102 + Belorta + Harran + Scarlet + Rapi
- Liter + Belorta + Diesel + Harran + Rapi
- Liter + Anis + Diesel + Scarlet + Rapi
- Liter + Anis + Harran + Scarlet + Rapi
