Genshin Impact's latest Wind Chaser event is now live
Last week, Hoyoverse revealed the slate of events that would be part of phase two of Genshin Impact version 3.1 – King Deshret and the Three Magi. We shifted gears from Cyno to Nilou, with a few other event wishes and quests.
One of these quests, Wind Chaser, is set to go live today. Until October 31st, players above Adventure Rank 20 will be able to explore the Galezones and use all of its peculiar mechanisms to complete numerous challenges. Rewards for finishing this event include Primogems, Hero’s Wit, and Talent Level-Up Materials.
To begin the Wind Chasers event, players must first head to the designated location and enter the Galezones. There are five different domains to visit, where challenges must be completed. Once inside the Domain, the primary goal is to gather Windcoins while looking for the destination.
Windcoins are scattered throughout the Galezone and players can complete as many as Windgrasper Challenges as possible too in order to collect more coins. The enemies that will be found in the zone will drop Windcoins on being defeated as well. Additional challenges include collecting Anemo Particles within the time limit for extra rewards.
Collecting coins sounds like a rather easy job but the environment will make it much harder as there are placed there and cannot be reached directly. Players will have to use manipulate their surroundings if they wish to collect the maximum number of coins.
The region is full of Wind Currents that blow in specific directions, with various devices that control them. the Snagwind Nexus generates the wind currents and changes their direction, the Windstopper Hub blocks the currents temporarily, and the Windcharmer Nexus expands the AoE effect of the winds. Travellers can use these to get to their destination.
All the platforms in the Galezones are also under the wind’s influence. Windward terraces tilt in the direction of the breeze, and Driftwind Platforms rise upwards while Descending Platforms make their way down. A culmination of all these mechanics will ensure that players can gather all the Windcoins in every domain.
