Starting off with our post, we have one of the more intriguing aspects of the game, which is the difference between Red Crystals and Blue Crystals. There's been quite a debate on whether or not you should actually invest in the premium ones (Red Crystals) if you already have access to the free ones (Blue Crystals). To this, we say yes. Yes, if you have the possibility and if you plan on playing the game for a long time.

It's a super fun game and if you're a fan of Final Fantasy, there are several guides on here that we've created, such as the best team comps, how to reroll, and even some tips for fighting.

Make sure you also read these, because you'll better understand how to spend your resources after!

Gil

One of the very first and most important currencies in FFVII Ever Crisis is Gil. You can use this currency to purchase various items from the shop (non-premium) but more importantly, you need Gil to upgrade weapons.

The most common way to acquire Gil is via daily missions, which (as is the custom in these games) can be acquired fairly simply in the early stages, slower during mid-stages, and eventually balances out towards the end-game. These are all the ways to acquire Gil in FFVII Ever Crisis:

  • Story Missions
  • Solo Missions
  • General Missions
  • Achievements
  • Events

Blue Crystals

The second important currency in FFVII Ever Crisis is Blue Crystals. As every f2p player will agree, these are the top-priority resources used for performing draws on various banners in the game.

You can obtain Blue Crystals through different methods, most noticeably by completing Story Missions and Solo Missions for the first time.

General Missions, such as raising the level of your characters and reaching specific Player Levels, can also reward you with Blue Crystals. Sadly, you can only acquire these for the first clear of the Story per account, so re-playing that will not give you any additional Blue Crystals.

These are all the ways to acquire Blue Crystals in FFVII Ever Crisis:

  • Story Missions
  • Solo Missions
  • General Missions
  • Achievements
  • Events

Additionally, you might want to consider which banners to pull before you start spending them on every available gacha. It's better to hold onto them until a banner with your character of choice is available and spend them then. If you're not sure who you should pull for, read the FFVII Ever Crisis tier list.

Red Crystals

After mentioning the favourite F2P currency, it's only natural we talked about the premium currency, right? In this case, that would be the Red Crystals. These are other in-game currencies used for purchasing items and packs from the special shop.

Acquiring Red Crystals can be done in various means, most often purchasing them directly with real money. This currency is mainly used for giving you a head-start in the game since most of the items available in exchange for Red Crystals grant players amazing rewards.

Of course, some of these packs can also be purchased for Blue Crystals, but since those are a lot more limited to players, many prefer to opt for the Red Crystals. If you have the means to purchase these, it could be something worth considering if you plan on making it big in FFVII Ever Crisis.

These are all the ways to acquire Red Crystals in FFVII Ever Crisis:

  • Purchasing for real money

And with that, we wrap our guide teaching you how to get Gil, Blue Crystals and Red Crystals. With patience and time, you'll find yourself becoming a pro at managing your resources in FFVII Ever Crisis.

I've enjoyed playing games ever since I was a kid (which was a long long time ago at this point). It all started off with an Atari 65XE, then came an Amiga 500+, a Sega Genesis, a 386, and the rest was history. I consider myself lucky to have been able to experience the gaming evolution over the years - this is my passion, and what I will continue to do for as long as I can.
