In the latest entry to the ever-expanding catalogue of retro games modernised for mobile devices, SNK and Hamster are introducing the classic fighter Fatal Fury 3 to their ACA NeoGeo Library. The third entry in the series that ran parallel alongside the oldheads of the genre, Fatal Fury is a beloved franchise, and it’s always good to see more of it being recognised and refreshed for new players.
If you aren’t familiar, Fatal Fury is a series of fighting games that was developed alongside the legendary King of Fighters series, and both of those stood up to the likes of classics like Street Fighter. These were the essential trio back in the arcade machine days, and they’ve always been SNK’s beloved children with their high-octane action and excellent sprite work within the art style.
Fatal Fury 3 is especially loved amongst fans of the genre, as it introduced a lot of concepts that would carry over into the future, as well as some fan-favourite characters too.
